Innovative project aims to improve wellbeing of city’s primary school pupils

Thousands of primary schoolchildren in Liverpool will benefit from an innovative new project to help improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Seedlings, an early intervention therapeutic service, is being launched by award-winning social enterprise PSS and the Young Person’s Advisory Service.

Hundreds of conversations around children and young peoples’ mental health took place during the Liverpool Mental Health Festival, organised by the Liverpool Mental Health Consortium and on the 8th Oct at the Williamson Square event, representatives from the partnership engaged with many people of all ages.

We're inviting adults in Liverpool who want to learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to attend our FREE training.

✔️ACE-Aware (virtual, one-hour session) - for anyone interested in knowing more about ACEs.

✔️ACE-Skilled (face-to-face, half-day) for those who:
- Live in Liverpool
- Work in Liverpool; or
- Work in another Local Authority supporting Liverpool residents.
This training introduces ACEs and explores why they matter and their impact. It then explores the city-wide Growing Stronger framework and gives you reflective time to consider it in the context of your positions as individual practitioners.

✔️ACE-Leadership (full-day face-to-face) for managers and leaders within organisations who:
- Live in Liverpool
- Work in Liverpool; or
- Work in another Local Authority supporting Liverpool residents.
This course is for leaders who want to learn more about the Growing Stronger framework and how to implement it in their team or organisation.
