National recognition for YPAS open-access mental health hubs
The solution to young people’s mental health needs: Liverpool CAMHS partner YPAS Integrated Community Hubs – open-access mental health hubs – and the early intervention model of YIAC (Youth, Information Advice & Counselling) have been recognised nationally.
Youth Access is always trying to create and take up opportunities to represent members to decision-makers, involving young people and frontline practitioners in these discussions as much as possible to share their first-hand experience.
On Tuesday, Liverpool CAMHS partner and Youth Access member YPAS took the stage, represented by their CEO Monique Collier and young ambassador, Daisy. The event was an opportunity to bring together senior politicians, practitioners and young people to rally behind a common vision for the future of youth mental health provision. For Youth Access this means:
- Open-access services in every local area
- A one-stop-shop approach, with support for issues beyond mental health
- Support up to age 25
