Who is the course for: this course is for anyone working with or supporting children and young people and can also be of use when supporting peers and colleagues. This includes, GPs, Allied Health professionals, School Nurses and the Physical Health sector.

About the course: delivered by the MYA RAISE Team, this Bitesize course will introduce the necessity to talk about suicide in a way that normalises the conversation and then to consider the impact on the individual and those around. The session is based on the researched SERIOUS training; asking the question of; ‘how serious is serious?’ The training will also introduce the need to be specific and unpick the questions within a safety plan.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. To have a greater understand of the impact of suicide.
  2. Be prepared to ask about suicide.
  3. To be able to complete a Safety plan.

 

Time length: 1 hour

Delivery method: via Zoom. You will receive confirmation of this from the deliverer via email prior to the course date.
