Are you a parent/carer or professional supporting a child in ways that may be more challenging beyond typical child or adolescent behaviour? This could include financial abuse or psychological or physical aggression to anyone in the family – including pets.
These films, funded by the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership, have been developed to help families and those working with families identify what we mean by challenging and harmful behaviour by a child towards their parent or caregiver, sometimes referred to as ‘Child to Parent Violence and Abuse’ (CAPVA).
They were created based on real situations experienced by families to raise awareness of this important, hidden harm that can devastate family relationships.
We want to break down the stigma associated with not having conversations about these experiences and empower and enable families to find the right support.

This course has been developed with the help of the specialists at CAPA First Response and will feature the films below to aid discussion.
The first course takes place on 25th November. Click here to book.
