Seedlings Project update August 2020.

On completion of the PSS / YPAS Seedlings contract merge in April 2020, the YPAS Seedlings team of 19 Children’s Psychological Therapists are currently delivering a Seedlings service to 109 primary schools across the city.

In response to the COVID – 19 school closure, external and internal referral pathways were opened in April to accept parent/carer self-referrals, Primary care and other professional sources.

Through this process, Seedlings have been able to engage with an additional 284 families (April – August) by the offer of telephone support to parent/carers and summer holiday online joint creative sessions.

The Seedlings team are delivering 234 therapeutic sessions a week.

With our further recruitment strategy underway, we aim to reach those 10 schools in the city next term whom are awaiting a Seedlings service.

With all COVID – 19 safety measures now in place, we hope to be back in school in September!
