ACEs and Trauma-Informed Practice – Bite-size via ZOOM

Date/Time

14/07/2022 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm

Adverse Childhood Experiences, (ACEs) are stressful or traumatic experiences that can have a huge impact on children and young people throughout their lives. This ACEs and Trauma-Informed Practice training has been designed to teach professionals working with children and young people to be more ACE-aware and trauma-informed

This bitesize training is to equip anyone caring for, or looking after children and young people with the knowledge on how to have the confidence to practice trauma-informed approaches in regard to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). ACEs are stressful or traumatic experiences that can have a huge impact on children and young people throughout their lives.

As part of the Liverpool ACE action plan, Merseyside Youth Association has developed a training course that will build upon schools’ understanding of resilience and person-centred approaches and reflect on how they currently foster a nurturing, environment for all children.

Addressing Adversity

This ACE report looks at prioritising adversity and trauma-informed care for children and young people in England.

Therefore, YoungMinds compiled this collection to raise awareness about the impact of ACEs, adversity and trauma on the mental health of children and young people.
