Who the course is for: this course is for those working with children and young people (in any capacity), and parents, carers, or those caring for children and young people.
About this course: Delivered by the MYA RAISE Team, this Bitesize course gives an insight into brain functions and what happens to the brain during teenage years, how this can impact upon the behaviours we see, and what strategies you can use to nurture a healthy teenage brain.
Learning outcomes:
- Understanding of how the brain develops during adolescence
- Knowledge of why and how behaviour is affected during adolescence
- Insight into how adverse childhood experiences and trauma can affect the brain
- Strategies to help nurture a healthy brain, including the importance of sleep
Time length: 1 hour
