Event overview
Alder Hey Fresh CAMHS will help you to take a fresh look at your skills in identifying what is a typical amount of worry, and when children and young people need to seek additional help. This half-day training will give you a framework for understanding the theoretical background to anxiety and an opportunity to critically reflect on your own professional practice through group exercises, discussing case examples, and discussion with other delegates. The training provides practical strategies which are used to help manage anxiety in children and young people. We will explore together how anxiety maintains itself, and the interventions that are offered in Fresh CAMHS and other local services. The session will be interactive and will create a space to connect with other professionals. No prior knowledge of the area is expected.
