Who the course is for: Attachment: Understanding and supporting attachment patterns is for anyone who has already attended the introduction to attachment bitesize Introduction to Attachment – Liverpool CAMHS. Or already has an understanding of attachment. It would also be helpful for anyone working on becoming ACE aware- ACE responsive What are Adverse Childhood Experiences ACEs? – Liverpool CAMHS.
About this course: Delivered by the MYA RAISE Team Attachment: Understanding and supporting attachment patterns gives an insight into what attachment patterns are. How they present in children and young people, and impact on our interactions and relationships. It will provide tips and strategies on how to support interactions so relationships can feel safe, connected and trustworthy. Ultimately supporting a child or young persons mental health and well-being.
Learning outcomes:
- Increased understanding of attachment patterns
- Knowledge of how they may present in children and young people
- Insight into how it impacts on interactions
- Strategies to support a sense of safety, trust and connection
- The importance of self awareness, reflection and meeting our own attachment needs
Time length: 1 hour
