Mental Health Promotion Worker

Merseyside Youth Association’s RAISE Team, is looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join the team as a Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health Promotion Worker.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that promote mental health awareness and resilience within schools and community settings, focusing on Liverpool and beyond.

Hours: 35 hours per week (will include some evening and weekend work)

Salary: £25,571 p.a. – £28,957 p.a. – MYA Grade 5 Point 17-20

Fixed Term Funded to 31st March 2026

The Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health Promotion Worker will promote mental health in schools and youth settings.

The role will involve delivering comprehensive mental health programs, providing vital training to the children’s and young people’s workforce, and implementing school-based mentoring and group work projects.

Additionally, they will support the delivery of the annual NOW Mental Health Arts Festival, a key initiative to make children’s and young people’s mental health everyone’s business.

Paid to Train – IPT-A Therapist (Interpersonal Therapy with Adolescents)

This is an exciting opportunity to gain a postgraduate certificate in evidence-based psychotherapies for children and young people, validated by the University of Manchester.

Are you an Accredited Counsellor, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or registered with HCPC and looking to increase skills and competencies working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

Hours: 35 hours per week (will include some evening and weekend work)

Salary: £31,586

12 Months Fixed Term Funded

3 x Trainee CBT Practitioners (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)

Are you an accredited counsellor, social worker, mental health nurse, or occupational therapist looking to increase skills and competencies working in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)?

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate existing knowledge and experience of working therapeutically with young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.

Experience of at least 2 years working with children and young people is essential.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £31,586

Neurodiverse Youth Hub Intensive Mentor

To effectively engage young people with neurodiverse conditions, to create a pathway to employment for young people aged 18-24 yrs who are not in education, training or employment.

To provide intensive mentoring to young people, managing a caseload of 15 young people at any one time. To recruit and undertake initial assessments and to develop a personalised pathway, utilising personal development tools designed for the programme. To undertake supported signposting into other services within the Youth Hub and externally. To enhance young people’s employability and support entry into employment, including post-employment support.

To hold a recognised qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 in a subject related to Young People.

£25,571 p.a. – £28,957 p.a. – MYA Grade 5 Point 17-20
